Over the last ten years EDHEC Business School in France has developed considerable expertise in training future managers to do business in Europe. This has culminated in its unique Master's in European Business programme attended by participants from all over the world.
To enable graduate business students from overseas universities on a short study period in France to benefit from the programme's special insight on how business is done in Europe, a four-week version of the Master's programme has been developed. During this specially-designed, intensive Strategies For Europe course participants attend two 3-credit modules that cover important topics about the European business scene, become acquainted with several regions of France, visit leading companies in Southern and Northern France and meet with their management.
This combination of coursework, conferences, travel and company visits allows them to acquire a sound understanding of the special factors influencing how business is done in Europe during their short stay.
T
o provide time for personal work between classes as well as free up time for personal sightseeing, classes will be limited to about 15 hours a week plus French.
A QUALITY FACULTY: the Strategies For Europe Summer Course is taught by highly-qualified and experienced faculty from our own School, by visiting professors as well as invited specialists. All classes are taught in English.
TEACHING METHODS include lectures, some outside reading, case study discussion and exercises. Given the limited time period, students will not be expected to carry out research projects or written case assignments.
EVALUATION will be based on class participation, short tests, oral reports, brief exams and project work. In Lille especially, the focus will be on developing participants' operational skills in planning to do business in Europe. As a capstone to their education experience in Europe, participants will carry through an applied project related to course work.
Academic transcripts listing the grades and credits received will be furnished to every participant. This transcript can also be forwarded to your home university on request to assist in credits transfer.
Full information on accommodation, arrival, campuses facilities, schedule, will be provided to Summer Course participants via our intranet.
On both campuses, participants also have free access to:
